Customer Service Rep

3-4 week assignment in a Customer Management department to make outbound follow-up calls to insurance companies on transfer of funds after transfer paperwork is mailed. This position will also assist in mailing transfer paperwork to other insurance companies daily.

Skills Needed:
Good telephone skills
Good attention to detail
PC skills, including use of Word and Excel
Strong data entry

$10/Hour
Hours of Work: 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Paint the Parks

If you are in the mood for art, definitely check out this touring exhibit debuting here in Topeka. The Paint the Parks Top100 is a national tour displaying artists exhibitions of the nations biggest painters, with their artwork being paintings of National Parks. It opened this morning at 9:00am and will be available to Topekans Monday through Friday 9-5 and Saturdays 9-1 until September 15th.

The exhibit will go on to be displayed in museums in other cities, but is FREE to the public here in Topeka at Westboro Fine Arts!

Lake Shawnee Huff 'n Puff Hot Air Balloon Rally

Coming up this weekend is Lake Shawnee's 32nd Annual Huff 'n Puff Hot Air Balloon Rally! This is a really awesome event for anyone in the area to attend. All events are located in Tinman's Circle at Lake Shawnee in Topeka, KS.

Events include fun flights (launching at 6:00pm Friday and 7:00am on Saturday and Sunday) and a Children's Discovery Workshop (1:30pm-4:30pm on Saturday, $25 fee, call 267-1156x10 to register.) Be sure to check out the Glow and Tether events Friday and Saturday night, when the big balloons light up the night sky. Tethered balloon rides will be available for a suggested $5 donation to Topeka's Ronald McDonald House.
